  1. I haven't had it long and haven't got many pictures but this is my current favourite, taken on the other day while chasing 2 Plasma Edge's around. Very soft, loose sand, so it was either dead slow or full beans else it just dug 2 holes... No prizes for guessing which method I was using...
  2. I did try sending a PM rather than clogging up your build thread but I can't for some reason... I'd be interested, let me know what you want for them
  3. I can understand that, i just don't like the look of the TRF and for bashing round the sand dunes near here I'm not looking for more down force on the back, I've enough understeer as it is !!
  4. Hi, are you using your original spolier? A couple of upsidedown moments with mine mean it's looking somewhat second hand and I'm looking for another ...
  5. Greetings from sunny Cornwall, thanks for having me and hopefully I won't ask too many dumb questions (there will be lots though) or cause too many problems with lots of pictures... I can remember the original FAV and Wild One coming out (that's how old I am) and after many years I now have my own, neither of those though ! Anyway, the father in law started it all when he recomissioned his old sand scorcher. This got my son hooked driving a 'proper' RC car so this turned up at Christmas Which resulted in the Sand Scorcher breaking on one of the many trips to the sand dunes (the gear box is the latest) so the father in law bought himself a Plasma Edge as well so he could keep up. You'll notice the strange bracket by the rear wing, that's to hold the other body on. He missed driving the Beetle and I noticed that the Sand Scorcher wheel base was almost the same as a Plasma Edge. He's just waiting for the flashing lights now, oh and some ideas for a longer front post to hld the body on and how to mount the Sand Scorcher driver above the Plasma Edge body... I got fed up watching them pair bashing, so I bought my own Neo Fighter and it's brilliant
  6. I'm new here and will start a thread elsewhere with the others in the household if that's ok, but in the meantime here's mine... Stock (at the moment) apart from bearings One thing I have noticed is that the rear end is quite 'tight' with very little rebound so an upgrade / new springs is in order. Also the CVA shocks have a push rod and damper 'bit' that one pice of metal whereas CVA shocks with a DF02 have plastic plates with different numbers of holes and tiny clips that spring around the room. The DT03 shocks also have less 'coils' and a spacer. Oh, and the Tamiya esc took forever to set up for brushed because the button is way too small and stiff and you couldn't be sure if you'd actually pressed it ! Finally, if anyone has a spare spoiler, "No Guts No Glory Sticker" and a couple of small 'Frog' stickers I'd hapily take them off your hands, one too many upside down moments has resulted in a little bit of damage, it does wheelie quite well though
