Didn't catch the rear tires till now :) I wish I dyed the wheels instead of paint they have a lot of chips

As far as the lipo, I don't really bash it just back and forth in the yard

I had a set of those rims in chrome years ago. Flaked like mad. No more. White or black only

Jack it's a Trackmaster belt drive transmission, they used to make them for a few cars back in the 80s. It's pretty cool and can handle lots of power.

I believe Trackmaster went out of businesses years ago.

I got this one on eBay

I like the look of that gearbox. I've never seen one of them before. I wonder how much power it can handle.

Hi Billyg are the wheels you have the hpi superstar mt wheels. I have just posted a question in vintage about alternate MB wheels available and specifically hpi superstars.

The answer talks of offset and he deep dish that the tamiya MB has, and questions if the superstars will fit ok.

I am really looking for some monster truck equivalent tyres in style to the sandscorcher, a smother style true at front and some sort of paddle trye on the rear.

The only problem is the hpi ones are 103mm and may look a little too small given the MB spikes are 124mm.

I Am just wanting a little extra grip and push in sand, any ideas

Smifffy I saw that other thread and the other guys pretty much nailed it.

These wheels are narrower than the stock wheels which I don't like.

You want to make sure you pay attention to the outside diameter of whatever tires you buy, I made that mistake and ended up with tires that looked to small for the monster beetle so I went back to the original tires.

Post up some pics when your done
