sand scorcher ESC/Motor problem

friends.

I have my sand scorcher with the original electronics and a spektrum RX/TX combo. the problem I have right now is the I turn it on, the steering works OK but the motor doesn't move a bit. I use a 4600 MaH 7.2Vt battery.

can anybody guide me to were can be the problem. Thanks alot.

Post a picture of the insides matey, if your using the original mechanical speed controller with modern radio there might be an issue with how its wired or the voltage its sending to your RX.

thanks for the answer. this is a 2010 tamiya SC. so it work with the modern TX/RX.

the buggy work perfectly for 6 month., then one day it desided not to run. and I´m going crazy thinking what happen.

Hi mate i just read I have my sand scorcher with the original electronics, and wrongly assumed that you were running an original sand scorcher and not a re-re.

Not sure what you issue is fella. Do you have a spare Rx or esc to test.

I would guess you have a hung brush on your motor, take it out and clean it with some electrical spray and compressed air and retest.

Juan,

There is a chance that the ESC got ruined somehow.

You can test the motor directly with some battery and if it works, then the ESC is the problem.
