I'm on 40am (which would conflict with 40fm). I've got 40.675, 40.705 and 40.795

Depending on numbers, it might be an idea to run a pegboard. If there's only a handful of us it won't matter though. I'll see if I can borrow the pegboard from my racing club

Hi Jozza - will be good to meet up again.

You learn a new thing everyday - I suppose it makes sense being the same freq and all, but I hadn't realised that 40AM and 40FM would interfere - I guess I was thinking of radio stations on AM and FM not interfering with each other.

I do have several sets of xtals (about 7 in total), but it would be nice not to have to swap them over too much as on some of my cars its a real PITA changing ov er the Rx one [;)].

A peg board might not be a bad idea if there are going to be more than 4 or 5 of us.

OK - have had a look at the calendar and the 30th is OK in theory. If I do make it, will bring 2 or 3 XC's, Blitzer Beetle, B3 and possibly Gravel Hound. Only got boring old 27MHz I'm afraid - the peg-board might be a good idea Jozza.

On a somewhat boring note, are we sure that running all these cars (particularly the nitros) isn't going to p*** anybody off?
Cheers for now. David

This is great the amout of people showing interest, Well done guys!! [:D]. I will be taking...
Baja King
Custard Cream toerag xc (may take another one as well!)
3 Speed Hilux
Schumacher Mini Monster
Losi Mini T (if i can get a servo saver in time)
Lossi XXX4
Marder
Twin Det?
Rock Buster?
Anything else I also decide to bring along....[?].
With regards to running nitros its fine, I run my FG Marder around down there and thats way more noisy with a 29cc lump in it than a nitro.

Also if anyone has any trades they would like to bring along feel free as it may be a good time to show them and maybe get a few swapsys done..[:P]

Chris,
we will be bringing:

Ranger XLT
Holiday Buggy
Monster Beetle
Blackfoot Extreme
TL01/off road hybrid
Touareg
Jugg if I can rebuild in time
Stadium Blitzer
Escort TT01

All on 27mhz, have four different crystals.

I agree with the peg board but due to the amount of people going it may be a good idea to allocate time slots so everone gets a chance to run their cars.

As for pi***** the general public off I dont think there will be much of an issue in the wood area as only dog walkers come through as long as we are courteous and "give way".

The only concern for the field area is the possiblilty of a football match being played. Chris is this likely?

Are you running the standard Mini-T servo? If so, I've got a servo saver you can have (I stripped the old servo, the new one came with the saver attached). Drop me a line and we'll sort it out.

Hello all,

Ill be there if I'm roadworthy. I have a 40MHz FM radio.

I have just returned to the hobby after a few years (15).

I have a Super ClodBuster that I am as we speak fitting new motors and an ESC too. I only got it last week. I have been giving it a bit of a bashing over on Horsell common. The steering rods seem to be buckling! I have ordered a reinforced steering kit from the USA. That should be all fitted by the 30th. I have a 40MHz FM radio.

My wife wants me to build her a Blitzer Beetle! They seem to be discontinued. If anybody has seen one in a LHS I would appreciate it if you could let me know. Although I think it may be cheaper for me to get one off eBay at $92 + $45 shipping. If that’s up and running it will be there too on 27MHz AM channel 5.

Martyn

I might have a new built Blitzer for trade on the 30th [;)]. I have to make up my mind whether I'm going to let it go to leave a little space for something else......

Hey guys, nice to see some Kent action :)

I may turn up, but probably without cars - I may bring a camera and video cam too. I used to live near there so I should be able to find it...

Not sure yet, but I will try...

Good to hear you may be coming Daz, I'll give you first shout on the Blitzer as you were so near to buying it at Kidderminster last year. Looks like it's shaping up to be a good meet. Just gotta fix and paint a few more runners up now and I'll be ready [^]

Hi all, I visited the bash venue last sunday to see if the football was on and it was, but it looks like they kick off on the pitch at around 11:00 and finish at around 1:00. If you want some all out speed runs I guess your our ideal available times will be either before or after the game [V]. BUT fear not as there are plenty of flat shortish grass areas not on the footy feild to run around on if you dont want to drive in the woods [:D]. I have also been reliably informed by Andy (80skid) that the car park was quite full after 11:00 so to get a space nearer to the running area i would look to try to get there before kick off. Looks like its going to be a good day as loads of you are showing interest, If you all enjoy the day ( and I hope you do) and would like to see another one I will try and make it a regular event.
I look forward to meeting alot of you for the first time and putting a few faces to names (not in a bad way though!!) See yawl soon folks!.....Chris
