Look what I just picked up, all NIB for ~US$15 the set. I've never seen or heard of them before but given how much I like my buggies I simply couldn't resist. The auction was vague as to what they were and the picture was not very good but I took a punt and was mighty impressed when they arrived (for a start I didn't expect them to be sealed).

They're basically tiny 1/100th vintage buggy models from Tamiya. The best I can make out from the inserts are that they're Tamiya/Coca-Cola promotional material.

How cool are these? Has anybody seen them before? Does anybody know what the "secret" one is? I've got the first 10 and suspect I will be on a life-long hunt for #11 "Secret".

(Sorry about the **** pics)

I think the "secret one" is the Avante.

Thanks for the tips guys, and the history (although
the original Tamiya site isn't available any more) it's good to know the
background.

Although I'm twisted that I don't have #11, I'm pretty happy that I've got the
primary set and they are a fab addition to my buggy collection... they won't be
"NIB" for long... ;)

I found out yesterday, the Georgia coffee brand is owned by Coca Cola.

They have a new canned coffee (vending machines are big in Japan) called Depresso.

djmcnz, well noticed, it does look to be a fattie!

Has anyone got a pic of the entire collection? ( theirs )

Well I'll be - if anybody is desperate to get a set there are a couple on eBay at the moment, one with the 11th car, one without.  The prices are astronomical though.

Can't direct link so have a look in toyzinjapan's store.

bjr250, did you get that card I sent?

I almost have a complete set, I'm only missing the Avante and the Rough Rider if anyone can spare one each of those.
