Ciao to everybody,

I need a couple of infos about the Grasshopper/Sand Scorcher rear tires, the Padla Track.

1st: Are them the same tires on Grasshopper, Wild Willy M38 and the Blazing Blazer? Or are they different in dimensions, circumference or width?

2nd: How the Padla track work on sands? I used them in the far 1990 on asphalt and no way (no consuption also, they were Filnstone's stoneage wheels), but never used'em on the sand where I suppose they should be used.

Thanks for answers.
Cheers

Max

I believe they are the same tyres on the sand scorcher and grasshopper, though it has been pointed out that the re releases tires are a slightly different size than the vintage ones.

I've not tried them on dry or fine sand - i think the car would get stuck as the tires are quite small and ground clearance isn't great.

But heres some proof that they work on wet or more compact sand :D

I didn't understand if Wild Willy and Blazing Blazer tires are the Grasshopper ones. If yes I don't understand why people spends a lot of money to have Willy's and Blazer tires from ebay...

Wild Willy and Blazing Blazer tyres are very different in all dimensions compared with the Grasshopper Padlatraks.

For how they work on sand just check out any of the videos on http://www.tamiya101.../web_movies.asp or here http://www.tamiyaclu...p...2557&uid=45

As Terry said, there is a huge size difference between the two

Wow! I don't believe it!
Never seen an M38 live so I didn't understand it's dimension. These tires are huge in front of Grasshopper ones. They seems 2,2 tires!
I'm absolutelly surpriced!
Thanks for infos.

Cheers
Max
