well i just picked up a local grasshopper for 20.00 via PEPITO from the board.how could you go wrong?well i was cleaning everything and put the chassis and gear box halves in the dishwasher.when i took them out they took on a whitish grey stain.i think from the grease.seeing as i need to repai two small cracks an dont wish to buy a new chassis,can i spray these black?what paint should i use?

I think it's just ABS, so you should be able to use any paint for plastic. I seem to remember painting the gearbox red on my old one (seemed like a good idea at the time) and I probably used just regular old Krylon spray paint.
BTW, my wife would kill me if I ever put RC parts in the dishwasher...

Krylon Fusion is the stuff to use for painting plastics. I painted a bunch of parts on my CR150 dirtbike and 2 years later its still holding up and I even pressure wash it after I get done riding, which BTW is every weekend and 1-3 times a week.she does no know.
So many Tamiya kits, so little income.
