Is there anyone who knows how to clean humbrol enamel (spray) from a abs body?
I´ve tried with brake fluid but some paint still remains.
I need to repaint it because i used two different spraycans (stupid), and got this really nice orangepeel finish.[:0] Some times when you´re in a hurry things dont turn out the way tey´re supposed to.
This body have been lying in my **** pile for almost two years and i really want to finish it nicely.
Any help would be useful.

You can try Easy off oven cleaner in the yellow can. I have found that it works the best at removing tough paint. Also you might want to rough up the surface of the paint. Many methods of stripping have a hard time getting past that first shiny layer of paint.

i used humbrol spray on the blazer, horrible stuff.

soak it in brake fluid, then go over it with wire wool.

took the paint off no problem.

hope that helps.

If the layer is thick enough you could fine sand (#1000+) and polish the surface till its smooth, without needing to repaint...
Needs alot of time and patience, but can give great redults, be carefull no to polish much on edges as paint comes of easily there...

...Except if you want to just sandpaper it lightly & paint it a very dark colour, over the existing one (gloss black, black metallic, dark metallic blue/purple/green, deep burgundy metallic -just a few ideas[:)])

Thanks a lot for the advice, i think i´ll go out and by me some oven cleaner.(i guess any brand will do if i don´t find easy off).
I´ve tried fine sandingpaper as well, wirewool sounds great for some reason it hasn´t sprun to my mind, used some scotchbrites and brakefluid didn´t help much. Tough and nasty paints those humbrol spraycans.
Any suggestions on sprays? The ones they sell at carpart stores to freshen up the paint job on your car?
