I'd just like to add my thanks to all who came & had a play despite the weather, especially those hardy souls that camped out.
Thanks to Radshape for their extremely generous donations from their range of hop ups for the prizes.
And finally, a BIG THANKS to Jonny Retro for running the show (particularly when some of the original "team" were unavailable for various reasons)

Is this going to happen this year?

I went to the Snetterton Model Shop last weekend - the Tamiya section looks like its being wound down (certainly from an RC point of view) as there was very little there and there is now a massive building extension right where the grassy car park we used next to the track. The market is also no more so it appears - all they have now is indoors and is more of a garden centre with none of the "old tat" you used to find.
The track looked derelict if I am honest.

If the track is derelict, then it should be easy to book it? perhaps even regularly? if it ever stops raining.
I don't know how it compares to other tracks as it's the only one I have been to, but it seemed like a really good track and was fairly busy when I was there back in 2009.
Is there a reason why it is so quiet?, is there a better track nearby?
I had great fun there, and would love to go again.

Thats a real shame, so they don't even hold official race meetings there anymore.
If this thread generates any interest, I am happy to make a phone call to them to find out.
Just checked the shops website and it seems that they have loads of traxxas models in stock but not many Tamiyas

All is not lost - just found this thread from 4th April 2012...

1. The track is open for practice now, in fact it never closed. The development work that has been going on around the rostrum has precluded us from running meetings.
2. This is under consideration now, but further "worK" with regard to a club won't happen until the track is back and fully operational.
3. See 1. the track is open all week from about 9.00am until 5.00pm but only for practice.
When the "development" work is finished, which I have reason to believe will be fairly soon, weather permitting, I will be posting more info.
