Hahaha thanks mate, I'm sure you guys would take great pleasure in using the cardboard cutout as a ramp :P

I'm in Tauranga/Mount Maunganui, so I'm sure you've been here, a mini kiwi Surfers I guess. :) Next time you're over hit me up
and you've got a place to stay ;)

That's a good idea thommo , You can stay at bermans tamiya shopping center .
Bring you own shopping trolley , as i'm sure you have seen the great cars he has :( .

Hahaha. Thank you and come again! Me and the missus were going to put a futon in there as extra bedding, (and so I can sit there and just look/get ideas),
Mate got wind of this and said if he comes and stay's he wants that room and he's bringing a screwdriver and tamiya wrench!

Cheers mate, Yeah I have been to Tauranga. Just passed through over a couple of days though. Thanks for the offer buddy, I would be all over it like a fat kid on a smartie. Next trip to NZ is a while off though.

The Bull Creek bmx track is still looking best imo, due to it being public access. matman, if you have no luck with Whiteman Park then I reckon we go back to plan "A" and just check that Southside bmx club don't have a meet on the day we pick.

Once we lock in a date, we can hit the attention all aussies thread and contact the WA members off the list.

I'll pop down to the BMX track on the weekend, and see what sort of surface it has. Also see how busy it is too.

The only thing I would be worried about is how chopped up the surface is, especially if it is being used by dirt bikes. Unfortunately none of us are real close to there to check it out.

matman and beetlebanger1, you guys have the furthest to travel. I know matman was even talking about having to take a day off to make it work. For this reason I think you guys should settle the time and date.

Lets maybe have two locations up our sleeve so for what ever reason (eg: poor surface, moved on, bored) we have a second option. Watcha reckon?

Yer! two locations would be good . Last time i went to that track was good & the bikes that go on it are 50cc bikes . It was more for BMX bikes
but 50cc have been on it . I know as i have been using it with MY 50 & a few others .
The other thing is being able to charge battery's ?. madmuz77 what do you think ? about location . I can pick you up if needed .
Time is coming upon us fast . Soon we may need boats  .

As I said before I'm good to go any where you guy's decide, Guildford looks good. If that doesn't work we can always find some where else.

There's plenty of bushland, pine forests, parks, beaches etc to choose from, like beetlebanger1 said all we need is a piece of rough dirt.

bear in mind it will be school holidays through most of April so bmx tracks may be loaded with kids.

so we need date, any weekend after Easter is good for me, Anzac day is on a Wednesday this year so the next long weekend won't be until June

& by then then we'll be fighting the weather. But considering the relative stones throw travel for me (especially if matman picks me up)

it should be a time thats suits the guys with the distance to travel.

As for a charger I have a Swallow ac/dc 2 that will charge pretty much all types of rc batteries if some one's willing to donate use of a 12v car battery

but it can only charge 1 battery at a time.

Good news guys. A mate who reps around Guildford area has just checked the site and reported back to me. Report is very good however we should all bring a garden rake each and sweep away the boondies first. The boondies are not big but big enough to warrant raking. The site has good variation with medium jumps, smaller whoops and berms. Plenty of open space, parking right next to the site and some evidence of 1:8 nitro running. My mate is going to get some pics for me to post up too (but this could take a while). He has a DT02 and a Brat so he knew what he was looking at and might even join in if the date suits.

Set a time and date that suits you matman and beetlebanger1. Again I would suggest an early start if we can (depending on if you two have somewhere to stay if you rock into town the day before). All good if not, the rest of us will try and fit in.

Personally I would prefer to re-schedule if the weather forecast is wet. I have already killed a set of universal shafts and had some seized screws because I couldn't wait for dry conditions. I'd rather not play that game again.

I have an AC/DC charger (B6) also. We're looking good.

Like have have said , it has been used as an rc track . As i have used it a few times & when we are waiting on the batterys to charge we get out your 50cc mini bikes .
As it has been good for that to . Most of the time i have been there it has had no one on it . Too times some one has turned up with an rc to use there .
I'm sure you are not reading what i'm saying :P . I have a place to stay when i'm up there , so i will rock in the day B4 or i may leave home 4am to get there in time if needed . :D Don't want to sound too keen :D . Ok , Guildford it is then . Well i'm fine for 21/22 of this month or the following weekend :D . What about you beetlebanger1 ? you good for that weekend . You wanted sunday is that correct ?. I'm good for what ever . Madmuz77 I can pick you up .
So we have a plain :o
