I have been out of Mardave racing for quite a while and am looking to get back into it. Can anyone help with the chassis rules for bangers? Is it 4 or 6 cell? I take it still no bumpers? What chassis is best?

Onto to Saloon Stock. I know many people build their own using V12 parts and custom cut chassis from GRP. Does anyone have a spare chassis plates or have drawings/photos on what theirs looks like. I have all the V12 parts but am stumped on the main chassis and how to attach 6 cells to it.

Aha! I feel it may be you who sent me the missing message lol
I make and sell many different types of oval car, from Minis, Hot Rods, Bangers and even Reliants!
Rulewise it's 4 cell all the way, some clubs allow 'servo protectors' a big lump of ally angle with sponge on the front - but in my eyes its a bumper and shouldnt be allowed lol for the chassis at the moment there are 3 main options, a standard Mardave Durel one, a Kamtec 3mm aluminium one (available in Short or long wheelbase) or one of my 2.4mm grp ones.
There are a set of BRCA rules for Bangers but be warned not many clubs run to them, one of the biggest issues with them is concerning electronic speed controllers - check your local club first. I dont want to turn this into a plug for my own products but one of the most popular speeds at the moment is mine - I do make a bolt on 2 speed mechanical speedo which has proved its worth, over 230 sold now :o or there are many racers using the controller as supplied in the Mardave club V12 kit or fit a Tamiya type.
Saloons are either based on V12 running gear, with 4,5 or 6 cell batteries, here's my last one which did very well  you may have to register to see the thread, but I was going to recommend you do that anyway lol

Kamtec, Pinky and Hunter Systems all make goodies like bumpers and motor mounts - Kamtec has a range of vac formed battery trays or many racers just use fibreglass tape to hold cells in.
I'll come and find you in the PM bit :P
I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.

I have registered with that site but have not had my activation email.

I have replied to your pm but not sure if you have got it.

My local club (Fordham) does allow esc in bangers and "servo protector" bumpers. Due to weather i wasn't able to get there when they raced at the weekend to chat with them about building.

I have got a brand new V12 in box that i will convert to a banger. Have the Mardave banger chassis plate on order along with the body posts for bangers. Anything else i might need?

I have a sort of GRP saloon chassis but not sure it's right. Will try and get some pics of it sorted tonight if you can give me your opinions on it.
