I love the tundra also, and the hilux, the F350 doesn't quite have the same appeal for me.

I know you're a Tamiya (& losi :) ) man Dave, but have you seen the new axial wraith rock racer? Looks awesome and would love one to go with my ( never used anymore ) Venom Creeper.
Axial Wraith

Yeah mainly a Mr T man but always open to other brands if the strike me like the Losi did.

I must say at this point in time that does nothing for me... A great car no doubt and will not knock it as I know nothing of it.
I don't know why maybe if I get bitten by the crawler bug it will but I prefer the CC01 FJ40 and the Tundra at the moment and I know they are not in the same cart but I guess I like more the realistic look of them.
But that could change

I have the F350 but would have liked to get the hilux , but the price diff was way out & they didn't have one .
I may buy the hilux body set at some stage .
BUT the money i have spent on the f350 is just plain ...... well you know .

I know what you're saying, the scale looking stuff certainly looks very cool, hence my M05 and TL01 VTA build, it's all about the looks with them, as with the CC01 and high lift kits, I've seen some pretty awesome photos of some scale trail driving stuff with trailers and camping equipment and all, so realistic

I would be happy with a stock Tundra other than a motor upgrade but I really like it out of the kit and maybe for some stupid reason the MF-02 for the sake of it

Yeah and it's not flat-out fun... I think it would be more of a calmer approach to RC?

Yeah I know

so more vintage to run fro you the Hotshot?
I will have the Falcon finished as soon as the new body and dampers rock up for it.... the Fox will be a little while away as I have electronics to get for it but that will put me in good shape with a range of vintage RC.

I am really looking for a different type of RC next (hence my post on the CC01 chassis) so I think I might be slowing down as age creeps in :)…. NAH!!! Never but a crawler for the bash around the burbs or when I head back to see the folks in the Riverland would be really good I think.

So because of that, I now think I have my selection of “fast” off road cars.
I have also ditched the Rally project and will make my M03 an on roader Monte Carlo Mini.
So as you can see this hobby is still keeping me broke and I know one day I will by a High Lift Tundra so In the words of Big Chris on Roary the Racing Car..."I love that Car!"

I would love a fox..!! Always wanted 1.. And a high lift, and a 3 speed, and an SRB...!! So yeah I'll be broke for the next 10 years I reckon...

I have just gotten a deal on 2 X M06 RX7's so if anyones interested PM me... ;-)

Yep $399.00 alot of money . That i won't pay out . Almost the same cost the hilux
3 speed . A bit of a shame as i would like to get one too finish it off .
So you would almost need $900. to get both + bearing + paint & any other mod you
may want & the list goes on :) .

I had a ball putting the 3 speed kit together . I would like to do another one any time .
You would have a blast putting one together . :) Drool !!

Yeah I have watch a few vids on the build of them and they look like great fun to build....
I will have to start saving my $$ as I have a feeling it will be the last kit I buy due to the cost like you say to get everything

Next Saturday 22nd Oct big open day at Mitchell Park, there will be a free BBQ and drinks for anyone who makes it down there, bring along your vintage or modern runners and have a heap of fun with like minded enthusiasts.

(unfortunately I'm gonna be away in Sydney, but I wanna see lots of photos)
