Hi all, managed to get myself a great original blackfoot off ebay, as normal i thought get it, strip and make the huge list of parts to look for, when it arrived i couldn't believe my luck, the thing was like new, after a strip down and clean, the gearbox internals where like new, the chassis had a couple of lite scuffs on the bottom, the only bits missing where the spot lights and driver figure.

heres how i got it

Sorry guys been busy recently, after getting a few new kits ready for santa, i was looking at the blackfoot again, still no closer to getting a front body mount or spot lights as yet. i noticed a company called modelbuild on ebay that make metal body mounts for the monster beetle but not yet for the blackfoot.

Not to sure if 50calibercustoms have it ?. I have seen an Ebay person have alloy parts for the backfoot .
May need to try that maybe ?. Not to sure of the name as i'm on a different computer .

DID you look at , jim's toys and hobbies on Ebay , as he is an TC member .

Hi matman, just looked at 50calibercustoms site, can't say ive seen them before, so thanks for the heads up, they dont do the body mounts but might be tempted with some of there other stuff for this chassis. as for ebay i keep looking and im sure they will turn up, but to be fair i noticed a ebay seller called modelbuild that make body mounts for the monster beetle out of metal and im hoping they bring out some for the blackfoot as they would be miles better than buying old brittle plastic mounts. after all this is to be a runner.

Do you have a spare body to make into a runner? It would be nice to keep that one for a shelfer.. :)

I hear you cooltoys, it is really nice to have one in this condition, but i dont abuse my tamiya's too much, but there meant to be run and there's nothing finer that seeing a few of these vintage runners on the go. ut might look for blackfoot 3 body maybe later to fit to run.
