This will probably make my Bruiser a $1000.00 build. I'll get them when they are available for my build...
I'm noticing more of my builds are coming to this price now... unfortunate, but fun at the same time!
Well, if I must, I'll take that Scania off your hands to help fund the Bruiser build which will of course be another Scottoman Master Build
And yes, the cost seems to be rising for all of our best builds, but it's worth it !

£39 for the bumpers - i think i'd spray mine if i wanted black !
Will wait to see what the wheels look like - the slipper clutch will no doubt modernise the running but its in danger of losing some of the appeal of the original drive feel.

A slipper clutch for a standard 540 silver can motor, really???? Think i'll pass on that one. Wheels, will see if they look better than the kit supplied and personally i'll be holding out for one of James' (Beetlelover) Bruiser driver figures as i know Tamiya's attempt will be absolutely nothing on Daniel Cockersell's. This guy is a genius.

I'll definitely be getting the slipper clutch - Mostly "because you can".
And considering the cost of the car itself, - and it's been a while since the purchase, the cost isn't all that shocking..

Of course they're faster than me !. They're Young, Fit and Fearless - I'm Old, Fat and Scared !..

Seems kind of pricey. For now, the driver figure is the only option I would consider, given I don't even have the re-re bruiser. Those full military figures at 1/14 scale is less than $10.00 with much more details and the $16.50 for a partial figure seems to be a bit rich.Got the following prices from time tunnel models in UK, will be special order and come in after Japan release.
54412 Bruiser 4×4 Slipper Clutch @ 47.99
54414 Bruiser 4×4 4-Piece Chrome Wheels (2 Pcs.) - @ 51.99
54415 Bruiser 4×4 D-Parts (Bumpers, Black) - @ 38.99
54416 Bruiser 4×4 Driver Figure - @ 16.50
I think I will wait to see what the wheels look like in pics but for sure get slipper and driver!

Prices are in UK pounds to as they were prices from a UK model shop, so be more in dollars if converted now.
Thanks

Same for me, can not do not harm to transmission, i am sure even the stock 540 could do some damage to gear box in certain situations, i plan to use mine off road in all sorts of places and hope it lasts!
Thanks

the ''slipper'' i the mounty was a joke, it failed easily and people used a kyosho counter gear from the usa/big brute to replace it

Does anybody know if the axles are suitable for the Blazer?
I have an original Chevy Blazing Blazer and wonder if I can put the Diff axles on it and use the original CBB wheel hubs.
Thanks!

no, not unless you start machining changes
front axle doesn't use molded in king pins, it uses king pin screws and sleeves
Rear the retainers would need some spacers, but may be do-able with some fiddling

OK, update Tamiya has upped the MSRP $30 which explains the prick hike. I sitll can't get over what they think a 25 year old truck is worth.

Might be the exchange rate... Or they're selling well and demand is high

Matman, I'm just not sure what project I want to do next. I do like that people enjoy my build threads though...
Actually the complete remodeling of my backyard is taking it's toll on my RC building!!!!!
Both in finances, time and effort! I'm sunburnt and sore!
It's also hard not to design in some RC car scale off road areas in my design. Haha..
