Mine arrived yesterday, scored one with the toothbrush. Thanks Stella, can't believe the lengths they went to with the protective packing!

Not allowed to open till fathers day :(

Man....i am bummed that there is no activity in this thread!

After all the years of waiting and wondering, seeems to have gone ppfffffft....

Mine is still in its box, but when I get it out and build I am going to start with body FIRST and then the rest.....not sure what colours but we will see.....I am more concerned that there have been no aftermarket parts made for this, I am sooo interested in something that will allow me to use 12mm hexes, and then rims with a negative offset to narrow the track a little....and then some nice, more scale tires...

I am also looking into a water cooling system for the motor....for no other reason than....I can. Little radiator, little water pump and a boat waterjacket.....

Where are the hopups, where are the bruisers?

We are holding out for the Blazer. A pick up got to be American with a V8 like Ford or Chevy, big and ugly, not like a pretty Toyota with a tiny 4 banger. For looks you can put dual shocks per side at the rear fender flares, mud flaps etc. For hopups, you may want to consider those brushless motor and try fitting sponge tires to make it a low rider and tear up the track along with the gears????

I know what you are saying about the V8, I own a 2001 Chevy Silverado Stepside, 6" lift and 32" tires.....5.3L Vortec. Aint no replacement for displacement!

I am doubtful we will see the Blazer.....but thats just a hunch I got.....there is a simpler tooling for Tamiya to just bring out the mounty instead....

rc channel, but they don't make a correct adapter to fit the bruiser
the rc channel bruiser adapter is 6 hole and the wheel is 5 hole
so I had to drill and tap the adapters to fit the wheels

Here's mine - no hopups as such, just a few extra details - headlights, sidelights, tail lights & cruise lights are turn off-and-onable from the TX, driver is a modified Sand Rover one, paint is Renault Monaco Blue metallic, sleeper cab & rock rails are VW Alpine white :)

Great work but has weaken my will to wait for the Blazer :(
Having looked at the photo above and knowing the original has the switch and clips in the same spot for the bed... I was thinking would is be nicer if the clips trench box was covered over by a lid, kind of like a lockable trunk lid within a trunk, in this case the flat bed? And that big witch be do away with all together and use a tiny switch from the receiver which could be located at the frame. In the end will have a nice normal bed like the real 1:1 instead of a box and a big switch at the middle of the bed. I

the only reason they needed that switch hump was to accomodate the BEC switch available back in the day

if T was into totally revamping it for proper scale, they'd reaslistically drop the bed further down
which would need a modified radiobox... could be possible to relocate the 2 servos further aft

Surprised that nobody has commented on this... hop up parts for the Bruiser, including an official driver figure. Seems like they finally took the hint. :)

54414 Bruiser 4×4 4-Piece Chrome Wheels (2 Pcs.)

More Bruiser goodies
New Bruiser light set #02126 basically what joe Anderson has at his Bruiser build but you can buy it as a set from Tamiya
Set Contents ▼ 53909: Tamiya LED Light Unit (TLU-01) ▼ 53937: Tamiya LED Light Control Unit (TLU-02) ▼ 53912: Tamiya LED Light (Φ3 Orange) ▼ 54009: Tamiya LED Light (Φ3 Red) ▼ 54008: Tamiya LED Light (Φ3 White) ▼ servo extension cord (20cm) x4

And Really awesome new Sanwa (Airtronics) SG-6G 4WD radio it's a 6 channel 2.4ghz designed for Tamiya 3spd, semi trucks and tanks but I don't get it didn't they learn from Futaba's newer 4GWD radio or from Tamiya ?? It has digital trims and will not work with MFU's !

http://sanwa-denshi..../sd-6g_4wd.html

Anyway Still cool to get it for my Bruiser sigh looks like I need to narrow down my collections even more to afford all these thing for the Bruiser.
