Hi guys,
Could you suggest the type of upgrades that i could use for my midnight pumpkin. Already got a GT tuned motor. any suggestions about the shocks and the wheels+tires.
And maybe due to the motor (not sure) the front left tire tends to come off from the wheel. Any ideas for this?
Thx,

If you are running an uprated motor then you should superglue/CA glue the tyres to the rims. I actually use UHU/Evostick impact adhesive since its easier to remove the tyres when they need replacing. Alternatively you ould try putting a flat rubber elastic band in the bottom of the tyre beads on the rim and refuitting the tyres - this might give just enough grip for the tyre not to slip and come loose.
Other upgrades are as per lunchbox (fifth shock absorber, alloy body mounts) - try a search for lunchbox mods.

For the wheels, rather than gluing them, cant i use beadlock wheels? Do they have beadlock wheels for the pumpkin? I couldn't understand what the following meant. can you please explina on how to do this "Alternatively you ould try putting a flat rubber elastic band in the bottom of the tyre beads on the rim and refuitting the tires"
And any idea where i could find the following? ((fifth shock absorber, alloy body mounts)) I tried searching on ebay and google, couldnt find anything
Thx for your help

Alloy body mounts.. http://www.modelbuild.co.uk/
For the rubber band idea - remove the wheel from the truck, remove the tyre and put a flat rubber elastic band around the rim, in the recess that the tyre fits into - then refit the tyre so the tyre bead sits on top of the rubber band - the extra grip of rubber:rubber vs rubber tyre:plastic rim should be sufficient to hold the tyre in place.
you could fit all sorts of wheels - crawler style 1.9" beadlocks and suitable tyres or short course wheels - all depends what look you want. Persoanlly i think the LB/MP wheels are perfect.
Fifth shock - again just search for lunchbox fifth or lunchbox shock

Lunchbox/Pumpkin is ~210mm wheelbase, so regular 1:10 bodies or even most M-Chassis (M & L variants) bodies look huge on them. My plan was to use a M04L Beetle on mine as I wanted the van body for the M04 chassis, but the Beetle body dwarfed it, so I used a 1:14 scale toy truck body on my Lunchbox instead.i really fancy a Lunchbox with a Mk1 Dodge Viper shell, should look into it soon
Kamtec's V12 bodies fit the Lunchbox ok. Polycarb body lasts a bit longer with the inevitable rollovers too.
