i was going to buy one of those bodies for my millitary defender i am building but opted for a kamtec one instead .. i thing i might change my mind after looking at the chineese body again . the armyversion doesnt have doors and needs an interior and roll cage ... dang .. more money spent ..

Got the lights installed, winch is working, rear bumper and rubber mud flaps added, and the body mounted. What a pain! Very tough to stuff all wires/battery under the interior!
Getting close to the end though!

That is one cool project and amazing detailings. You must have spend some serious money and time on the project. I am not British, but the Union Jack does look nice on roof top and that yellow just reminds me of the Camel Trophy race.

What is that light blue masking tape you used to create the straight lines for the union jack? Cannot see any paint running at all.

Thanks! Yes, the Union Jack turned out very nice!

The tape is 3M BLUE 2080EL (Edge lock)
Best masking I've tried for large areas. Sometimes leaves a little residue, but can be tacked off with another piece of tape.

hi my friend what a great build i mount my battery in the same place as you but i use lipo packs which are a bit thinner i hope this helps

I actually have moved my battery to the rear where the plastic box was. I placed the receiver and ESC on the plate in the center of the chassis.
Clears the interior just fine, but I do think it's bad that I have to take the body off (Which is hard to put on) to change batteries...

Looks great. I landified my Dingo shell but you see one of these builds and you can't help but want one, it's gotta be done.

The lights were just parts from a cheap $12 ebay lighting kit. To mount the led's I just drilled holes and glued them in place.Cheers,Skottoman

I missed this how? WOW! Very nice for a Landie... how do the RC4WD chassis drive over say a High lift? I did not like how hard the 3 speed was to drive at all..
