I have recently started buying and restoring Kyosho 1/8 scale bikes and wondered what people have done to improve the the standard Bikes.
So far the mods i have done have really improved the performance
Hop Ups So far
bearings
hobbyzone 2030 size brushless motor with a tiny mamba esc.
steel gears
heavy duty rider springs to replace the weak plastic connectors
Ali steering parts from the hong kong ebayers.
Ali gearbox
Pats Brakes
option house rear shock.
tyres and inserts from Zh racing and venom gpv bikes ..
has anyone ever seen a replacement Ali Chassis?
Has anyone found a cowl to replace the standard flimsy plastic one?( Venom one does not fit)
Does anyone in th UK still run these bikes? and fancy a meet

I've never seen a whole alu chassis, but I did used to have an alu swingarm for mine
These were all the alu hopups I could get at the time (2003)

The detail in those aluminum parts are amazing. I wonder how they were made and exactly what kind of CNC machine was used..particularly those forks. I'm thinking 5 axis mill? Anyway I've always wanted one of these Kyosho bikes...may have to get one but it seems hop-ups are hard to come by these days?
