Here is your chance to own one of Tamiya's greatest models of all time. This car is fully working with an old AM 27MHz JR four channel radio and two 6 V 4 000 mAh batteries. It runs great and is in very good condition considering its age.
The car is complete with manual (both English and a Swedish one translated by Berico, the Swedish distributor at the time), box (with all the inserts and parts bags tags), various leaflets featuring Tamiya products, RC spare parts, papers on connecting two battery packs, some spare parts, and an unpainted Blazer driver's head (neck has been broken off).

Body:
A new paint job has just been done by one of Sweden's top painters (a co-worker at the largest modelling magazine here in the Nordic countries). He painted the body and based an article about restoring and painting ABS bodies around the project. Wind shield has a crack.

Radio box:
There are no cracks in the radio box. One lug is broken off of the lid, which is otherwise perfect.
Tires and motor cover are OK. No funny smell. There are some minor cracks if you squeeze the tires very hard, but not what others call dry rot or perished. All rubber parts are still soft.

Metal parts:
All good; there are no cracks, rust or oxidation. Several new u-joints have been installed. Rear bumper shows normal signs of use as does the skid plate that holds the speed controller and gearbox.

Mechanics and electronics:
Everything is perfect. Original radio and servos work. Drive train is perfect. First gears engages 4WD, second and third only drive the rear wheels. Front wheel hubs both lock and release, as they should. The servo controlled ESC, all three gears, steering work, as they should. Suspension is very stiff, but works, which is normal for these models. Even the optional light bulbs (not LEDs) in the headlights work. When I tested the car before writing this I did so with the cleaner of the two 6 V batteries. Both batteries work but the more worn one may need cycling before it holds a proper charge as it has not been used for a very long time. I did cycle the cleaner one and after a two cycles it took 3 800 mA from the charger at 1A.

The good:
Several new u-joints
Great paint job
Great overall condition
Fully working
100 % complete, including the optional shocks
Additional driver figure holding a map of southern California is also included

Imperfections:
There is a crack in the windshield
One lug, the left one, is broken off the radio box lid
The rear Toyota badge is not painted (it is primed in red)
