Hi folks,

as mentioned in a other thread I bought a used Bear Hawk to restore.
It has some scratches underneath, but I´m not too scary about it, cos it will be a runner anyway.
I stripped it down and gave it a rebuilt...
Now it´s clean and hopped up with some parts.

- Hi-Caps front / rear
- Alloy hex adaptors
- Adjustable knuckels front / rear
- Carbon idle gear shaft
- Ballconnectors
- Fully ballraced
- Lightweight rims rear
- Lightweight rims front
- New tires
- LRP motor
- Futaba steering servo
- New screws
...

Will run it with disc rims on the street with Acoms AT-5 and lipo stick.
Just need some smaller stuff like foams, battery holder and will do a body resto.
Looking for some other damperstays for front and rear. Any ideas?
I like the hopped look pretty much - what you think?

Love it! Looks beautiful. The Bear Hawk must really be the last Tamiya buggy that can really be called "beautiful". ;)

Here now a update for one of my Bear Hawks.
I hopped it pretty much up.
After a while I stopped it and stripped it down again for another rebuild.

Honestly I prefer the Blitzer Beetle with the bigger tires and the look.
I will do a part transfer to my Green Blitzer Beetle to complete it as shelfer.

I did a rebuild to do it the closest way to boxart.
So it has now the status original build - I normally call it unhopped :D
The plastics are clean and shiny on top, underneath it has several scratches.

Installed is a 540 silvercan, new original tires in front and lighly used Super Gripper on the rear.
Transmission is smooth and greased.
The rear damper stay is modified so it can´t break so easily, the dampers are cleaned.
The right rims are a little bit faded. Z-parts and D8 part are missing.
Body is unpainted, but with decals. It has some marks as you can see, but no cuts!
Didn´t want to rip the decals off to paint it.
A lot screws are new and it´s in nice conditions for a former runner.
I´ve the box and manual as well.
The box has a scratch and tape on the right side and is spoiled a little to the middle.
When somebody is interested - let me know!
