This is happening on my girlfriends tt01e. the car is centered until the first turn , if that is right turn then it drags a bit to the right after centering itself or vice versa if its a left turn.

is it the servo failing ?

I have a servo that does this as well, I am going to replace it but I would like to hear what others say about this.

Check for something tight in the steering assembly (this is best done with the servo removed). And as mentioned, check the servo horn for wear at the spring.

Thanks TA-Mark, I have tried this servo in two cars and it does the same thing, it is very old so I was going to replace it anyway, but it may be something tight inside the servo, or it's got moisture or something in there?.

Ta-Mark was right , there was a screw too tight . i didn't build it , the missus did , but its odd that this just happened now since it was too tight since the build months ago. i also noticed that the front tires aren't totally parallel. guess i need to add the turnbuckle set to the shopping list . at least she is happy of every hop up she gets :)

Kit-supplied servo-savers are also often a reason for cars not centering correct after a turn, especially with "over-tightened" components in the steerig-setup.. Tamiya does a pretty good High Torque servo saver, which can replace most stock savers from their kits, and is a good hop-up also. :)
GO FOR IT!!!

today i found a weirded problem

on the blitzer beetle with an acoms as-16 and kimbrough servo saver . car has no dt02 turnbuckle addon yet .

i center the car . its mostly right 05 trimmed , then after a while it goes back to center so i need to trim it to center , then again after a while it goes back to the right 05 trim .

the car also has the bumpsteer mod done.

1. Do your speed controllers (TEU101/104BK don't) or receivers (most 2.4G receivers don't) feature BEC? If not, this might give your servos more power than they are designed for. This may lead to strange servo behaviour.
2. Have you set up the steering endpoints trim or steering dualrate trim properly? If not, this may lead to hitting steering components hitting arms, C-hubs or other chassis components.

The Acoms AS-16 is a budget servo but even so it should still cope with the larger Blittzer wheels given how light the front of that model is. It sounds like the servo is a bit tired or the internal gears are partly worn - its easy to do this if you land hard on one wheel from a jump or smack the wheel into an obstacle.
History for last 30 months.. bought too many, not sold enough - current stable 46 EEK
