I used a new 19T steel pinion (http://www.modelspor...roduct_id=36704) when I started using a 9.0T brushless motor in my Baja King. Last week the spur gear was stripped after only a couple of packs. So just got a new spur gear and installed it. On closer inspection I can see that there is a bigger gap than what I would expect between the gears. So now I am wondering if the 0.6 Mod pinion is the correct pitch.

0.6 module 19 tooth is the right pinion for it. It's what I have in mine (ARW0600-19).

Do you have full bearings in the chassis?

Yep proper full bearings. How good a mesh should there be? I'm just comparing to a Rusther and a Firestorm, which seems tighter.
