Guessing this class doesn't have a huge following on TC, but thought I'd post up this build thread of my new race Truggy. I'll post up all the pics and if anyone wants any details, ask on here and I'll answer. Hope you enjoy it.

The clear body sitting on the chassis at present is the Proline Bulldog body which came with this kit, I'm currently having the original Mugen body painted, then this one will be painted the same, and then I can try either at race meetings tobseebwhat handles best, basically another tuning option.

This kit, although basic packaging, is at the top of its game, and the extra bling provided by the silver carbon just makes it pop.

I'll add a photo with the painted body once done, this car will hit the track for its debut on the 10th to 12th August at a big event in North Queensland, Australia, really looking forward to it. Feel free to comment.

Thats a great looking chassis - the quality of the components looks very very good.

History for last 32 months.. bought too many, not sold enough - current stable 41.2 EEK

Oh yeah, this is a whole different level to 1/10 scale cars

Diffs are fully tunable with different weight silicone oils. This principle should (and already is in some kits) replace 1/10 ball diffs, as they are much more consistant and reliable.

I've been eyeballing an OFNA NEXX8 or Hot Bodies VE8 as a starter 1/8 e-buggy; just reading the literature and looking at photos, it sure looks like 1/8 can take much more abuse than most 1/10 scale stuff. The three oil-filled diffs are really appealing from a tunability and maintenance standpoint. Thanks for sharing pics of your Mugen; it looks top quality.

Glad you like it & yes, I believe it to be very high quality. Definately get into a 1/8 if you have the means, about the only drawback i would say is where to run them, they really belong on a proper track whereas 1/10 can be great fun even in a back yard. If you ever need any advice on 1/8 stuff, i'd be happy to help.

Mugan is a good choice. Love the quality. I can picture her running full out in an open field and taking on anything and wanting more. This big baby is meant to be used and abused, the fun side of RC without much break downs. That nitro engine roar is music to my ears and the nitro fume is like a good cigar (cubans). But living in a concrete jungle, your 1/8 can only be in my dreams. :(
