Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been asked but is the Blackfoot 3 body the same as the original Blackfoot/Ranger XLT?

From what i can see it's just the front grill and lack of embossed "FORD" badges in the body.

Lee :D

I think it's similar to the BF/Ranger XLT, but it has more in common with the Super Blackfoot body (with some bodymount holes added for the WT-01 chassis).

From what i see the Blackfoot III lacks the Ford branding but thats all . In all other ways it appears identical . Fill the unwanted holes , cut some ford lettering from styrene and who will know the differance ?

The crucial bit that is missing, as on all the Blackfoot incarnations for fitting to a SRB, is the roll bar attachment point under the tray topper. The original had a raised section with two stanchions with semi circular profiles to settle on to the shorter than normal hoop, either side of a single body post.

Surely its easy enough to make up bracket to mount the body ? Glue a block of styrene on the underside of the tray and fit a scorcher clip that snap fits the roll bar ?

Easy to make, yes, easy to make strong... harder.
