Are there many places with Avante kits available?  I e-mailed Stella about getting a kit but they didn't have any left.

Will they be making any more?  Is it a case with the re-releases that they're for a limited time only?

On a personal level, the 'holy grail' for me is the Porsche 959.  I had one as a kid, along with a Hotshot.  I have a couple of re-re Hotshots and now a Bruiser too (wanted one as a kid, but with a Hotshot and a 959 I think I was very lucky anyway), but I don't know how many re-re 959s I would buy!  It would be more important to me than the Bruiser re-re.

Wandy, did you pay for the extra packaging that Stella were offering?

I did, but a couple of the brown cardboard flaps were torn right through still. I am a bit disappointed now after seeing the majority of the other kits being perfect inside. I'm quite particular about these things!

OK, I've got mine. Guy next door came home!

This is the first kit I have bought from Stella, and the packaging really is as good as everyone says it is. I was concerned at first because the box had some quite nasty looking crushed corners so I feared that this might have transferred inwards to the kit box itself, but after opening I have found the box to be perfect. No creases, scratches or crushed corners. The only damage I have found is as stated on the Stella website - one of the cardboard 'flaps' holding the chassis in place has torn. Only on one end, so it's not too bad.
