About 10 years ago, when I saved a Blackfoot from a dumpster, it had these Shock Mounts on them (circled red in the picture).

I just want to know if someone here recognizes them and can tell me if they are any good.

I converted my BF back to stock. This picture is taken from an ebay auction, so this is not mine.

Anyone here watching 'Justified'? I've seen the recent episode and there is an old dude working on something that looks like an original Blackfoot.

I am currently repairing my 58058 Blackfoot and I need new rear Body Mounts.

I mean part J1 and J6. I want to build them myself, because I know they are extremely hard to get.

Now what I need to know is how long they are, because the guy that owned my Blackfoot shortened them and I don't have a clue how long the body mounts should be.

It would be nice, if someone could measure the length and post it here.

I did Number 8 from the Blackfoot Reliability Guide (Here), and now I have a problem.

I really don't know how to describe it, but I will try.

When I push up the wheel suspension the axle moves.

I made a video of it, because I can't describe it:


I just want to know if this is normal. Or can it be avoided ?
What can I do ? I guess nothing, because I don't know how to fix that.

I bought a hand tap set, screws and 2 new drills for oldfrogshot's screw mod. ( http://www.tamiyaclu...a...2&cid=24674 )

Today I tried to use the hand taps, but the tap broke. This is my second m2,5 tap set and both broke and I was trying to be very gentle.

Same story with the drill -.- I just can't drill through this drive cup. I used an HSS Co drill

Do you have any suggestions, what I can do ?

Or is there even somebody here, willing to apply the mod to my drive cups ?
I already bought the screws, so I only need to drill one drive cup and tap a thread trough the other one.
