I have been into R/C since approx 1986, when I bought my first real R/C car, a Hirobo Tomcat. I still have it, and it is complete and working. I currently also own a NIB Hirobo Tomcat, a NIB Hirobo Bearcat, a vintage Tamiya Toyota Hilux, a (runner) Tamiya Alpine A110, 3 used Kyosho Corvette ZR1's with OS CZ12 engines, a new built Tamiya Toyota High Lift Hilux, a shelf queen Silver Fox, and an HPI Baja 5B 1/5th scale Buggy.
