My introduction to RC Cars began in 1988 when i bought a Radio Race Car International magazine and saw all the cars. I had always loved building static models and this seemed a new hobby. After months of looking and reading I managed to talk my Dad into buying a Mardave Meteor, about a year later I was racing at my local club but not very well. I had always loved the buggies like The Hotshot, Hornet, Big Wig etc and the Schumacher Cat and Yokomo's YZ-870C of which was my next car. Around 1993 I stopped racing and the cars were left in the loft. Both cars were eventually cheaply sold off and like many others I left the hobby. i just didnt have the money to get all the spares and upgrades.
Then in 2000 I decided that I could afford to get back in but the buggies werent as popular as when I started so i bought a Ho Bao Hyper 10 and got a Bolink 69 Dodge Charger body to go with it. Later I saw a King Blackfoot a bit cheaper and so bought that. I have now decided that I want to collect buggies and any muscle cars available in RC, my current collection includes a King Blackfoot, Hyper 10, Mardave V12, team Losi XXX-4, MR4BC, Bolink Muscle pan car and a recently acquired Yokomo YZ-870C and Team Losi Mini-T.
I now look forward to increasing my collection and knowledge of these classic cars.
