I must say, everyone who leaves comments on TC regarding re-releases has their own reasons for feeling the way they personally do, so we as a group can't really bash anyone for what they say. Now, I recently did a trade and got myself a vintage, original working Bruiser complete with radio system. I love it, and since it has been run I will be running it carefully at some point in time. In the same week as when I did that trade, my new Bruiser arrived in the mail. It is quite a thrill to open up a box and see all those parts packed so carefully in there. I will be building the new Bruiser as well, so I guess I will have the best of both worlds. I guess I'd have to say that I'm lucky to be able to have the 'new vs original' experience..... Anyway, enjoy your Tamiya models whether they are new or vintage. Also it is great to see people like J-man on here, using their skills to make things like these roofs, so we can keep our rc models looking good. Thanks!!		 27/04/2012 14:44:54

@ Scollins: Thanks, I know I will enjoy building this new Bruiser. I actually sold the one that you repaired to another TC member. He stripped and repainted it, and I believe your repair job is intact. He posted pics of it after he repainted it. If I can find out who has it I will let you know. I recently pre-ordered my 2012 Bruiser re-re, and I can't wait for it to arrive, so I can finally experience the joy of owning, building, and abusing (a little bit) my very own new Bruiser. Back in 1985/1986 I saw a Bruiser Kit on the shelf in my local Hobby Store, but I couldn't afford it then. I probably can't afford the re-re either, but I figure now's my chance to get a new Bruiser. So, Rosey, enjoy this original Bruiser for what it is. If I had unlimited funds & storage space, I'd probably have at least 2 of these original Bruisers. :-)		 17/02/2012 06:52:59

Many years ago, I had a Hirobo Tomcat that ended up looking quite a lot like your car. I was driving it in a sand pit close to the Cabin, and a wire from the Hirobo 3 step speed control shorted out. The car looked really spectacular as it drove around with 12 inch flames shooting up into the air. This only lasted a few seconds, and then it was all over.
