KingCab06: Wanted one for years
...I got an early one of these - when they were new - with a Veco .19 engine - and sold in in 1990 :(

I have another now - to restore - and it has a very nice Irvine .25 :D

I think I shall follow your example - and clean mine like yours ! ;)

zakspeed: The elusive frog narrow bumper - at last
I have an original Frog - from new. :)
I clearly remember brush-painting the original body with green lexan paint out off a little bottle !

It had the small bumper...
...but when the Grasshopper came out with larger ones I fitted one to my Frog (thought it would be better protected ! ) - and try as I might, I can not find it again ! :(

keven64: Ap-427 radio set...
Hello Alex,

I dug out the correct battery box for this - it took SOME finding as I have never used it ! ;)

The sticks are now converted to Mode 2 - and it has had a full makeover.

It looks ALMOST mint now... certainly as good as my old Futaba radio sets. :D

keven64: Old futaba adverts !
They ARE, John... and when you are seen to be using an old metal transmitter instead of a modern plastic one - it makes it even more worthwhile ! ;)

keven64: Old futaba adverts !
...it is an advert from inside the back cover of RCM&E magazine - February 1977 :D

Everything in the pictures is standard. Ripmax were the importers for the UK... hence the different badging on yours in the USA ;)

sgt.barnes: A very special discovery 1954 hammersmith wave master
Blimey, Grommit, lad...

...a model boat designed in 1952 - with radio control that looks like it was made BEFORE that ! :p

Now I am going to have to get MY 60-year-old Wavemaster going as well.

Mine has more modern radio than yours - from the 60's ! ;)

I can bring it round, if you like - for one of those 'twin' photos... like that you took of the Sea Rovers.

I'll bring some Stinking Bishop... :)
