Grumpy pants: Unfinished business!!
So pretty. Just a little bit of detailing to go. Don't worry about your patients. Working on one of these creates patients.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. And Yes it was built from a NIB kit, but in my defence box was damaged so I turned what was damaged into a virtually flawless built kit (Or at least that was the intension. I hope I pulled it off). It was a real honour to build such a kit. These things don’t come around to often. The Hilux is now in my display cabinet. Have a look. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=117940&sid=24742

Tamiya Era: Mission accomplished. .;-)
Congratulations. That's one beautiful Avante you have there. Hopups started with the Avante and that makes this a historically significant build.

c_smith: The collection no longer has to hide
@Pininy, Yes they are LED. The display came with Halogen but there was a Hopup available for LED. Don’t know if it’s true or not, but I here'd LED radiates less UV. @Sunnyjai, Your right. It a trap. No only kidding, She has her treasures as well, it’s only fair.

Thanks guys, I’m glad you like it. My wife sure is a keeper. I still don’t understand why she lets me do these things.

c_smith: A day out at ryde
@ Super Gripper, My 501 has all the hop-ups, except for the WE body set. I have enough shelfers so this makes a perfect runner.

c_smith: The differences between mk1 and mk2 hotshots
Hi Chris, The axles are the same as MK2 one ring on the front and none on the rear. I've checked E10, it has 2 through holes and one single pass in the center.

Hi Paul. Thanks for your kind words. The next thing on the list is a display cabnet that i'm designing at the moment. The design will perfectly house all of my best with one level at the top for the next project. A prestine 58028 Hilux. But I've been told by my wife I'm not aloud to build the NIB.

@ Tamiya Era - From afar you are right. However there are a few very subtle differences. I like to compare this build to the Hotshot with all options leading up to the Supershot. I find it interesting because, in this case it shows the development leading up to the Egress. The first 50 Hop-up parts were aimed at the Avante, and this is the result of assembling all of them.

Thanks for all the support guys. This has been a long term project. As I collected parts a just put them in boxes until I had all the components needed to complete the build. I have just spent the last 3 nights working into the early hours of the morning to finish this beauty off. I think this will be the last of the Avante series that I will build. So I've left the best to last a perfect, dry built, 'ultimate Avante'. @ Crash Cramer - Great suggestion. I’ll update the description with a bill of materials.

Hi Guys, The original prototype in the advert shows a body set numbered '1'. I agree they should have stuck with that.
