Off the road :-)

Great looking Tundra. Love the scale look and the details on the winch and lights.
The snow is a challenge, but here in Michigan I've learned to let the truck cool down outside before running in the snow so it doesn't stick all over the tires and chassis.
Nice work!

Great looking scale rig. The stance and height are just right. Love the lights and winch detail up front.
Nice work.

This was the winner IMO, especially given the Bruiser is in the shot. :-)

Bruiser wrecker as featured in rc car action
3SPD REKR

Wow! Thanks all for the great comments guys.
The original Bruiser body is now on my second Bruiser chassis bought on e-bay last fall - also fully restored. I'll list this one in a separate showcase entry soon.
As I mentioned, there have been changes since the RC Car Action piece (last pic). I put HPI Geolanders on the stock rims and it looks much better, pics of these soon. The MP tires/wheels were added over 20 years ago, but I still think they work.

Bruiser wrecker as featured in rc car action
3SPD REKR

Thanks slimmy. Paul was the senior editor of RC Car Action. scollins - the HPIs helped with the scale look, but the wide Bruiser axles still trouble me. It is what it is in keeping the 3 speed chassis as stock as possible. Thanks again.

Bruiser w/ snowplow
3SPD REKR

Thanks all for the great comments. It sure is nice to have a place to share these creations. I can't wait to share my next Bruiser creation 'Sand Hog' using the original Bruiser body. Need some Michigan summer sand dune weather for scale pics first though.

Bruiser w/ snowplow
3SPD REKR

Thanks, Tim.
The parking/turn grill lenses are simply cut from clear styrene sheet, roughed up a bit to give them an opaque look. Cutting the grill up was a big decision, but I'm glad I did it.
Just put a small vid of the lights in my showroom.

Love this project, but need some better pictures to show the detail better.
Nice work from what I can see here.

More snow photos lol

Fantastic Rig & I love the theme. We get enough of the white stuff where I am so I find ways to push it around instead. I was thinking of something similar to your idea for my newly restored Bruiser, but in a Baywatch type truck - hmmm...

39 led lighting for bruiser wrecker
3SPD REKR

Thanks Guys. Wyoming is spot on. The details make the difference, and some are not real noticeable, but add to the total package. Like the inner wheel wells - when I added these, they really cleaned the look up, especially for the Bruiser. Thanks all for your kind words.

Fantastic rig! I love the rear grooming blade, great for use in grooming snowmobile trails here in Michigan. Pic 6 is truly art. Some of the best fun in this hobby is capturing these scale images. Keep up the good work.

Rc4wd bruiser-ruptor hilux flatbed build #2
Wyoming

Once again, great work and love the unique idea. It's obvious that you thoroughly study 1:1 examples to model, it shows. I thought I was strange shopping at hobby lobby & michaels, but I am now vindicated - thanks. For the scale screen, you might try window screen, if you can still find the metal type, otherwise find a way to use the nylon type.

'sand hog' interior teaser
3SPD REKR

Thanks all for the great feedback. I was in a 'zone' on this project and some of it doesn't show in the pics - factory seat belts, interior door panels with arm rests, blinker/wiper lever, air conditioning - {OK. maybe not the air}. It was a huge decision for me to cut up the original glass to make the partially rolled down window, but it worked out and I wanted to use the original dash stickers for backlit gauges. Thanks again - more to come.

You are truly an artist - nice work with the camera. Great eye for composition and depth of field, it adds a lot to the scale look. One of my other passions is photography, and it seems it's yours too. Thanks for sharing.

My original build bruiser with snow blower
3SPD REKR

Thanks guys. Blackbobba - you crack me up, great comments all. These were my first attempts at RC and had a lot of fun with it. Now that I'm back into it, the challenge is to exceed earlier builds. Resurrecting the blower may be one of these projects.

This is truly a museum piece - congratulations. When the snow and ice go away - I'll go mud bogging with you - the Mountaineer and my Wrecker. Don't want you to get stuck without a tow - ;_)

A local bruiser survivor!

Looks like a nice find. If it is all there $400 was a fair price - it looks pretty straight. I see a couple of modifications, dual stock shocks on all 4 corners, and something under the battery tray - ESC? Nice resto project.

Nice Hilux, Roger. Great color choice and unique. I especially like the matching yellow rims with the Geolanders - more scale. Now you need pics of it on a sandy beach.

Demount wrecker

Nice work - and functional too with the winch. Very creative. Too bad it's so tough to make scale hydraulic rams work.
