description  One Saturday morning, a couple of weeks ago I spent a couple of hours at the fleamarket in here. Normally I would be checking old books and records, but that morning was special. I got to see this original 1984 Grasshopper in the back of lots of old furniture. I asked the price. And I had to do it twice, because, wow, it was cheap! The thing is only missing the left lamp and the base for it, too. Not sure how can I get it fixed (Anybody in the know???). Anyway, there was no handset for this one, but it has the complete period Acoms made-in-Japan radio gear.
Back in the late 80's I saw many of these at the extinct Hobbylandia store in here. Back then I never noticed the smaller 380 motor, now it seems so exotic to me, ha ha.
I am now cleaning this one and getting it ready for a nice couple of hours out and hitting the dirt. Hopefully some weekend next October!
Anyway, while talking a bit to the seller he started telling me about another car that was 'seriously fast'. He asked me if I would be interested in seeing it. Good thing it was as cheap as this one! (the car and the rest of the story in my next showcased model...).
