description  I have built this Grasshopper as a runner, specifically for the beach. It is pretty standard. I just added a ball bearing kit and used the Alitalia shell I already had, with a few added extras to give it more of a desert racer look. It will run the standard kit 380 motor to give me nice long run times.

Thanks - I have a thing for Italian cars, motorbikes and scooters and this colour scheme seems to work well on the Grasshopper...

I agree, the 380 motor is fine and the battery will last much more, plus on the sand you don`t need much torque aniway I like your GH and the Alitalia theme (perhaps coz I am italian?). Well done

They always surprise me when I first drive them as they are quicker than you would expect with the stock motor, especially if ballraced and well set-up. Light weight and efficient transmission have their benefits!

looks like a good time will be had with the hopper, really the hopper suspension can't handle more than than the 380 and still be controllable on rough ground so thats a good idea to keep it.

Should be on the beach Monday - fingers crossed!
