I've always wanted to obtained an original Tamiya Black 934, but they were always too expensive. I was once offered a NIB Black 934, but wasn't prepared to pay $10,000USD for it. To cut a long story short, I ended-up with 2 x 934 chassis (one now has NIB Green body set to go on it), and the other revealed a bad body once the paint was removed. I obtained a vintage 934 Static kit, and plan to use this as the body for the Black 934. Over the years, I've collected the decals and asked fellow TC members about the real Black RSr model. Once finished, my model will be identical to a genuine Black 934 (expect the body is white underneath). Sure, I could use a Black Re-Release body but I bought the Static kit many years ago and plan to use it - I'll keep my Black Re-Release body in it's kit.
It's still in early stages, but I should soon be getting some new parts (vintage speed controller, NIP front bumper - black).
I'll update the photos once the car is complete.

Static Kit will be used for Body Vintage 934 chassis, Painted Black coming along slowly (Feb 2014) coming along slowly (Feb 2014)

Great comments guys, it gives me the 'push' to get this build done. I have a few projects on the go, but will put my time into this one. Last night, I actually drove this chassis around the house and was suprised me how it went. I was using a small 1500mah 7.4v lipo, but it was running an original motor. It was great to drive and due to it being 1/12 scale helps with in-house driving !!! It's a little 'ratterly' due to the alloy gearbox 'sprung-mounted' to the chassis plate, but this all adds to the character of this early RC models. I'll keep you all updated on this build.
