description  Hello Everyone, I got this is a lot of cars I bought last week, I have no idea what it is?? Looks to be some sort of Grasshopper Hornet sort of car, I know it has the incorrect wheels and tires, and the chassis seems to have different 'Ribs' for lack of a better word than the Grasshopper, I want to restore it, but I need to know where to start....So anyone who knows please give me some info...Thanks

i know that car anywhere...a rock buster. that was my first real r/c car. i'm restoring one and the grasshopper wheels will interchange with the car and the decals are available if needed.

I'm going to stick by my claim this is a (World Engines)Rockbuster not an Academy Roadrunner. Although they had essentially the same body the front suspension arms and battery door are different than the Korean-cloned Roadrunner.

This same GrassHopper 'copy car' was also released by World Engines under the RockBuster name. The original tires were perfect copies of the Hornet tires, only the RoadRunner and RockBuster came with chrome three piece wheels instead of Tamiya white plastic three piece wheels.

Academy RoadRunner II. A clone of the Tamiya Grasshopper. I have one of these bodies for my Grasshopper. Always struck me as a cross between the Grasshopper and Hornet in looks. Some other members have NIB kits of this buggy if you need to see what wheels etc should be fitted to make it original.

This is an Academy Roadrunner, a Grasshopper-clone

Looks like an Academy Rockbuster, parts are interchangable with Grasshopper/Hornet.
