| description | I started this build 3 years ago. The plan was to use this RWD Kyosho/Hype chassis and turn it into a classic hot rod. In my opinion it needed to have a different wheel size AND width in front and rear, with a classis profile. That was the hardest part but I ended up with shaved hummer wheels in the rear with sanded down hummer tires. In the front there are narrowed Kawada M size wheels and sanded sand scorcher tires. Pretty satisfied with that. The body was another challange and I eventually picked a Parma Ford truck, but that had to be modded heavily as well. It was a lot of work and I still have bodywork, details, wheathering and exhaust pipes to go. But I thought i might show it here, I wonder what you think.
The last picture is of the ' concept' that I started with 3 years ago and the link is about the same project ... so many builds, so little time

Lovely work - curious to see the finish of this great guy!
pure magic
Always originals things and pics, Thanks for that, You're great
Thanks Alfons, and you are right: the body posts dont look the best on it. Velcro might be a good idea, i will think it over. Groeten! Kees
Yeah.... thats the better work. Fantastic looking Hot Rod Kees, great work olso with the wheel/tire combo. Just one little thing, cut of those ugly body mounts through under the bonnet and make it with some velcro! It has a much better look and its more realistic! So give it a try. If you need more info about that feel free to contact me! Keep up the great work. Looking to the next progress.
thanks for the compliments mates!
Thats one sweet 32 pick-up. Little tight on the inside though. Even on the real one.
Thats a fine looking hot rod Kees, very nice pictures to give scale feeling also
great job and real nice shots with the blue sky. I have been rolling around some hot rod projects in my head for some time now............guess I have to finally build one.
thumps up, mate - very cool unique build
Great custom job there and top quality pics. The first pic looks like it's sat on the salt flats ready for a high-speed run. Always great to see some real custom work taking shape.
Wow Kees, yet another awesome project. That looks incredible.
