description  Had this kyosho salute arrive today another off my most wanted list, The car was built when new then just put in the loft and never used so is going to need a good clean and service. The only thing im hoping will turn out to be nothing is the motor moves the pinions but the chain doesnt move, The chain moves if you move the wheels but the motor is not driving the chain so im hoping its just an adjustment but with my luck im going to have to strip the gearbox.

If turning the front wheels also turns the rear wheels the chain should be ok. It may a loose grub screw on the igear that drives the rear diff gear (If it uses the same metal gear as the ultima pro). Otherwise a fantastic fnd, a great looking rare survivor

I cant take the praise for the bodyshell its the origanal shell as i got it today apart from ive clean the dust off. The gearbox problem turned out to be a locknut on the final drive cog it was never fitted by the look of it but its sorted now which is a relief

I'm with Sayroll, i bet the grub screw is loose or missing, if its missing it may be in the gear box ! Great find and paint job !

Nice car! Check the hole on the top of the rear gearbox. From here you can access the screw that attaches the OT-41 pinion to the shaft: it is possible that this screw is loose.

That looks lovely mate. Top purchase. How tight is the chain? If there is little tension on it, that may cause problems.
