| description | Hi Guys,
These are my chassis mods which i made for my Sand Rover 2011 which i would like to share with you all. With all the tries and experiments, i find these mods are pretty close to make the buggy more scale realism. Ok, here are the parts which i used so far.
1) Tamiya TBEv02 front/rear suspension arms.
2)M04 rear shock tower.
3)Kyosho V1R front shock tower(M05 graphite towers or anything with similar shape)
4)TL01LA rear uprights.
5)FAV/FROG rear drive shafts, joint cups, axles
6)4x TGX 1/8 CVA shocks
7)50602 Diff Bevel Gears
8. DF03ra body posts
9)Buggy Champ Wheel/tire set
10)FAV wheel adapters
11)5mm adjusters 8pcs
12)3mmx20mm threaded shafts 4pcs
13)5mm ball connectors 12pcs
14)5mm ball nut 4pcs
15)3mmx45mm threaded shaft(steering rod)1pc
16)3mmx55mm threaded shaft(steering rod)1pc
17)TT01 front bodypost
and extra longer screws, spacers and nuts.
With all the mods in place, the rear of the bodyshell needs to be cut open for the rear gear case housing. Front/Rear shock tower openings on bodyshell can be fully covered back to its original. Have a try on these mods.

Great modding. It looks far more realistic. I'm loving the way the front bumper follows the shape of the body. It's such a shame that Tamiya did not make any effort with the re release. The original had so much style and grace, but also looked like the body and chassis was a quick... 'lets just bung it on there and call it a day' job.
Exceptional guide, your SR looks just right can't wait to see it in paint
dr.roberts your work is really awesome. Thank you for finally making this available as a tutorial. Kudos.
