| description | Not happy with the terrible bump steering and sloppy factory steering I wanted a set up that would give me a little more control.
My solution was to graft some ball raced EGRESS steering levers into the radio tray of my Super Shot. This mod has been done on my Hot Shot and Hot Shot II aswell.
Simply bolting the steering levers to the plastic tub wasn't good enough because I knew that it wouldn't last too long before the tub either wore or cracked around the mounting position.
I started with a sheet of 1.6mm fibreglass that the levers could bolt to then the whole assembly could then be bolted into the tub. You should also note that you'll need to clearance a small section at each side of the tub so the steering bell cranks can acheive full throw.
A simple drag link was also made and I set the pivot balls (to carry the steering rods) at the same width as the lower suspension hinge pins.
Its not brain surgery but a little time spent here deffinately makes all the difference.

Even a rere radio box could be used in place rather than use the original. I'll have to add some dimensions of the fiberglass items soon.
This is fantastic modification. I can't say I'll be molesting my original SS with this mod but if my re-re Super Hotshot's sloppy steering starts annoying me enough I might seriously consider it.
