| description | Last weekend Mike (Renco5012) organised another catchup for the local New Zealand TamiyaClub members, the keen bean has moved to Australia for greener pastures (no pun intended Mike!) and decided to fly back home to see family and have a good old fashioned bash with his mates. Not one to say no to a run of rc vehicles, I loaded up the car with what I thought might be suitable for running. Caught up with Mike (eventually as the Host was 'fashionably late' tending to the last tweaks on a 2010 Scorcher he'd just built). Met up again with Kalsh and Bluefoot with there boys in tow, good to see the addiction filtering down through the gene's Kalsh brough along another Vintage Tamiya nutter in the form of Chris, a guy I've never met before but one of the more familiar local online RC sellers. He brought along a selection of runners including a Porsche 959, which immediately got my attention as I had one as a kid (in a much worse state), which can be seen in my king cab showroom. We caught up at the same venue as last time which was Pukekohe RC Club, a nice vintage styled track with few and smallish jumps. Mike got me to run his Pajero which had some saddle packs in the tray to evenly distribute the weight. I've never driven a Pajero let alone a stock one, but with this mod it made it handle quite well and i was in fits of laughter controlling this little animal around the track. Definitely one of my highlights of the day! We had some breakages, DNF's and default's, but all in all a great atmoshpere! Funnily enough, we spent 3/4 of the time we were there bashing around the carpark! It was great to catch up with these guys again and sorry the two others couldn't make it but we understand and hope they can make it next time Just to note, if you are from NZ and wish to come and chew the fat with like minded RC guys, we have penciled in another meet for December-ish. Cant wait for the next one!

Awesome stuff guys, looks like you all had a great time. Pity I couldn't make it..... again. I know it's early days but any ideas yet on the plan for December?
Yeah wasn't the same without you James! Dont worry it will happen again
Looks like awesome fun once again! A real shame I couldn't make it up this time, would be keen in December, looking forward to getting past winter!
Don, absolutely, I had more but they were blurry, good to see you again mate
Looks like a fun track to wheel around
Loving that pajero buddy!!
Nice action shots! Little Pajero looks wild!
Hehehe, that little Paj looks great in photos - you'll have to get one now, eh? Maybe we'll have to have both the Paj & Scorcher cup, lol. Looking forward to Dec already! I've come back to shi**ty Melbourne weather
Hey Neil, excellent stuff! And at last some evidence that my Ranger was there
