get yourself down to Screw-Fix and buy a Ģ10-15 tub of 'De-Solv-It Graffitti Remover' it demolishes anything and is completely safe for any plastics, although don't leave it for too long on clear bodies... Makes them go a little cloudy, then all the black paint shows up grey, fine if like me you're spraying white, barely noticable at all...
thanks dazza1 thats a top tip !!
i find that brushing brake fluid onto the body and heating with a hairdryer brings the paint stight off. I did a hole body in a under a hour.
how about lexan bodies? Can you remove paint from these the same way as well?
daz87uk it's a hobby not a race mate while am at work i let the brake fluid do it's thing
Brake fluid for 2 weeks???? Geez, I get bored waiting for my graffitti remover to work in 2 MINUTES. How the hell do you stay that patient?
yer 2 weeks is ok to soak in brake fluid had no trouble my self !!
Is it really safe to soak an abs body in brake fluid without causing damage to the body?
I would not suggest anything longer than 2 weeks, or at least not with a lot of heat, I had a body soaking for a while and the thing just started to break apart at shut lines.
It's even easier with a compressor!
