| description | Had the second run with my XO-1 today. Installed the big pinion, but car is still locked (as i have no apple device yet). Car is locked at 92,9 KM/H and does not go faster (as speed is limited). Car runs very stable at 90 KM/H. Speed limitation is very annoying, have to get an IPOD touch next week for unlocking.
Got an unpainted Body for the car which colour should i choose 1) black PS-5 2) silver PS-36 3) light blue PS-3 4) white PS-1 ?

Unlock Unlock it ! id did not know that they were locked so i see that i have to use my cousin's Iphone for that on mine too

At around 57-58 mph thats still pretty quick by my reckoning lol.
just got an ipod touch 2nd gen on ebay. can't wait to unlock the car and have my third run with it.

no my frieds all do not like apple products, so this is not an option
I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be too surprised if you need the device in there constantly to have it unlocked. Anyway, doesn't one of your friends have an iPod/Pad/Phone/SomePhing else you can borrow to get it unlocked?
It seems that it's built into the ESC... You basicly have to confirm at Traxxas that you understand the risks and know you're responsible for any damage/harm done with the car. I'd search around a bit on a few forums as there are quite a lot of people who are trying to get around using an Apple device
Will 1) get a used ipod touch on ebay 2) Unlock the xo-1 3) sell a used ipod touch on ebay think this is the cheapest and quickest solution
Are you sure there is no hack/crack to solve this without sponsoring Apple? For example a different 2.4Ghz transmitter? It could be cheaper than an iPod touch as well (because you can then sell this one)...
