I ummed and ahhed on this for a while but in the end I couldn't resist, so this is my take on the Montero.
It's got a few mods - chassis braces front and rear, fully ballraced, 3rd shock. The front bumper is from Radshape, shocks are RC4WD (got a great deal from another TC member).
The biggest visual mod is the change of wheels. They're Ansmann 1.9's. Radshape make a long hex adaptor for the rear and I used F103GT parts for the front, with the widest hex I could find. It still needs a few tweaks but it's running quite well now.
Then Willy spotted it, nodded his approval so in he jumped! I cut a section out of the window and made a simple bracket to hold him in place. He seems happy enough... :)
Willy wasn't too keen on the box art white so he chose Mitsubishi silver car paint. He thinks it works well with the stickers and I think he's right.
I've had a lot of fun with this build, hope you like it. Cheers,
Rob

Great Job! Wheel and tire combo are spot on.

Wow, some simple mods, and I'm really liking the look of this! Looks a bit more scale, and Willy pretty much belongs in any Tamiya!

Woo !! go silver Willy.. I've been waiting for someone to do something decent to one of these. Pretty cool truck, any chance of a clear windscreen, nice shocks..
