My old 1991 Tamiya Madcap restored, and modified. New Chassis, Hop-Up Diff, Astute front and rear mounts, reproduction body shell (from Canada), hop-up rear axels, Ansmann shocks (front and rear). All screws replaced, fully ball raced. Egress light weight front and rear wheels/tyres (super wide fronts). Future mods will be Astute upper arms front and rear, and astute stabiliser kit if I can find one!!! For me the Madcap is the best Tamiya car, only for childhood reasons. My first car was a blackfoot (made by some else). First build was a Hornet. But the Madcap remained my favourite.

Before Paint Body off Boom Love it Above Astute mounts, custom spacers Astute rear mounts, custom spacers Minimal decals, less is more Before before

How did I miss this?? Nice looker and conversion. I wonder, why is it my last MadCap buy looked nearly the same at the front of the chassis tub as yours??? WOW, that one had been run wildly.
