Finally I managed to get a HS2, which was the only one of the 'shot series I didn't own. This was an eBay buy, poorly described and hence a reasonable price. Its had a full strip down, bearing throughout, new arms, new chassis tub, new cage and new bumper. Still sporting the original speed controller which will be a nice change since my Hotshot runs brushless and the Supershot and Boomer ESCs. It won't get much running, very light duties, just enough to exercise the Sport Tuned motor from time to time.

For a slightly stealth look I opted for black Egress wheel and hybrid spike tyres, which tone in with the original brush painted body.

Thanks for looking - comments always welcome.

Yep, looks great David, I've fitted the white lightweight wheels and Hybrid Spikes to my Hotshot, the really suit these body shapes I feel, although, there's not many chassis' that the lightweights dont suit

That's a real stealthy looking HSII, I like your rim and tire choice for sure.

Lovely... My favourite of all Hotshots and derivatives, and this is one of the nicer ones on TC with these mods.

@AndyjcClod. The hybrid spike do like to rip up the dirt but they don't last that long

I'm lucky enough to have all three of the hot - shot family and all vintage with peperiod electrics. Got to say love them all but due feel the hot shot 2 does tend to be overshadowed by it's more famous siblings which is a shame as it is actually a good car. Well done with this one mate looks awesome. Regards hot rod

Thanks for the comment guys - always nice to have some feedback.

@hotrod - yes its a bit overshadowed and yet i think its probably the best of the bunch - it might still have the monoshock up front but its a lot better than the original hotshot design, if a little 'ordinary' looking. The twin rear shocks are a lot better than the original too in use, but just doesn't look as engineered as the original designs. Function over form I think.

That one looks awesome, great find and superb work.
The spike tyres make it look more aggressive.
