Where I've been, and what I've got the last months...
I have been terribly busy the last couple of months. I have some of the juiciest Tamiya restorations projects you can think of boxed and waiting for me to have a minute to finish them (original Bruiser & Rough Rider) but that's how it is. Grad. studies and work have been heavier than ever!
ANYWAY, I wanted to show you guys what interesting vintage vehicles I have found the last months. This time I've not limited myself to RC cars, so there's also these super cool toys from the early days of Monster Truck racing:
1) JoMac Schkee 1:12 ''Lightning 2000'' (1980)
2) Playskool Ford BigFoot (1983)
3) Schaper Chevrolet ''Stomper Bully'' (1984)
I was very excited about the little Schkee RC car. When I got it I learnt it was:
- ROAR Champion, mod. expert class, 1981
- France expert Champion, 1980
- France expert Champion, 1981
- Australia expert Champion, 1980
- South Africa Nationals Champion, 1980
- European Championship runner-up, 1981
And the only reason this car wasn't a world champion is because there wasn't any world championship for this category until 1982. That is the info I got about it.
Must be going now. Lots to do here.
You all have a great Friday! :)

Erich - nice finds! I do love that 'Lightning' car especially! I too have some of the Big Foots, see here [Click here] one of my favourite toys from back in the day! Mine are also missing the keys from the back, but I sure 'crushed' a few matchbox cars with Big Foot! Memories!!!

You know I'm all over that radio But those are some cool finds, Erich! I had a little bigfoot as a kid but it had retractable axles that pivoted in the center of the chassis, wasn't as cool as the playskool version though! Good stuff mate!
R/CVET
Great score!....I had a playskool Bigfoot in the 80's and loved it...being waiting for a nice one to pop up on Ebay.
Crash Cramer
Great stuff, just hope you find some down time to yourself soon. BTW, Who needs mint when you can play all day with non mint.

@berman: Thanks, mate. I would be very interesting in finding out more about that Bigfoot truck you mention. How can I find some pics of it?

@lupogtiboy: Hi Martin, unfortunately I had to let it go some time ago. It was indeed a cool vehicle, but these neverending bills made me do it

That's a very nice and unique find there. You won't run them, do you? Have fun with them.

@LaMa666: Haha, nope. They just stand there to remind me how it was back in the day when I first knew about Monster trucks. I was a kid, and I was totally amazed by them. Come to think that, to this day, I have never seen a real one!
