Terra Conqueror: New project for my collection.
I received this morning this Terra Conqueror from a fellow member in Denmark, thanks Jesper!
My project for this car is a shelf queen model to make the pair with its new built little brother Blazing Star, yet not present on my showroom.
I needed many time for this trade because the Terra Conqueror was growing in me but I'm very busy and in lack of money so I needed some time to decide. This car was not perfectly what I was searching for but there aren't many Terra Conqueror all around so at the end I decided to buy it.
In fact many parts need to be replaced included obviously the body to have a new built condition.
The car arrived with its own proper box and manual and a spare used chassis, usable for another project.
Unfortunately the car is missing of both expensive (and hard to find) ball differentials but Top Force FRP tower plates, TA02 plastic gears and RW Racing gears are present as optionals.
A new body is on way to my home and I also have a new spare sticker set. The ultra rare orange wheels are in perfect condition (this is one reason that convinced me to buy the car) and the tires are 95% but new ones are in my storage room.
I will replace D parts (arms, that are scratched) and bumpers and the old electrics will go away as for every my shelf queen. Steering servo and motors will remain. The motor is the Dynatech 01, that is the proper model motor as per manual and catalogue.
The pinion gear is a steel one.
The steel arm shafts are missing so will search for it.
I will also add some optional parts like Hi-Caps damper, alloy motor mount, Manta Ray one-way, CDV all around, and a couple of black knuckles because I believe red ones don't mix with the orange of the wheels.
Another option: I'm thinking about are the orange disc wheels, that are very nice on this model as I've seen on another Terra Conqueror here in the club.
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...

Glad it arrived safely, and I am looking forward to see the final result. It came from Denmark though

Ciao Max, lavori in corso ? sono sicuro che trasfomerai questa rana in un piccolo principe, enjoy this car.

Pochi pochi soldi per farlo eh
Not many money to work on this car but will restore it with the time.

good looking machine i've never seen one done to the max though and after how good some of your other cars have been can't wait for you to do this good luck with it !

Thank you for your words and your esteem. I'll do my best as usual but I'll need many time because I'm very busy and have not many time and not many money so please be patient.

Nice score and I like the color combo! The more I see these cars the more I love them. Something about that body, rims/tire and stance combination makes me want one. We'll see.

Nice one Max! I too did not initially like the Terra Conqueror preferring the Top Force but over the years its uniqueness and rarity has appealed to me more. Planning in redoing the body in box art?
kontemax
Hi Sunnyjai, yes I agree with you. I'm really fascinated and inspired by this Terra Conqueror:

I already have the orange disc wheels but probably I'll do it boxart. Decal and bodies are too rare and I don't feel to betray the Tamiya designers...
A new body is on way to my home with two Evo lightweight ball diffs.
Maybe I should open a thread in the Build forum section...

Nice addition. The Terra Conqueror is one of my favourites. Really underrated model with great hop ups from the factory, it makes a brilliant runner too.
I'd keep the original wheels mate, they're much nicer than the discs, I have orange star dish on my Top Force/evo, dare I say they're the best looking tamiya wheels ever?
kontemax
The best wheels ever in the History of the hobby are for sure the Avante lighweight wheels but I also must agree with you, the Star Dish are very nice wheels.
