So after I finished my first Sand Rail with the Wild Willy Driver I knew I had to keep on adding to it to make it more scale.

Here is the result. I changed out Willy for a more scale driver and added an engine to the back. the shocks were changed to Scale RC4WD shocks, with a double shock at the rear using the original front shocks.

The spots are another great scale item from RC4WD, they are tiny compared to the standard Tamiya lights, but have great detail and removable covers.

I was really unsure about the driver until I added the scale belts, they really helped tie it all together.

The question I get most about this build is 'where's the battery go?' Well its a micro LiPo 7.4V 30C pack that is hidden under the seats. If you really want scale looks, you have to invest in micro electronics :)

Comments always greatly appreciated.

A brilliant model indeed. Very close to the original. I guess there are licensing issues with the Sabelt name.

When the wild one was already one of the coolest scale buggies from Tamiya, it's hard to believe that it could be made so much more scale. I think my vintage WO needs a Knight Customs Extreme Makeover! Hard to resist, James!
