Highly modified 4wd king blackfoot , yes 4wd version oh yes youve read right !!

well a fleabay auction win with current mods are
built for my 9 year old son
chassis extended by 30mm with metal plates from chassis to gearbox to set the wheelbase for my old twin detonator body
fully 1150 ballraced, tamiya c.v.a oiled shocks.new 12 turn esc and now rear box diff locked with a standard 540 motor and standard pinion gear.
just awaiting another fleabay win of spare chassis's and box plus suspension bits and bobs for me to convert this tamiya classic to 4wd , yes you've read it right . pictures of this mod when complete to follow. using spare twin detonator front axle bits joined to king blackfoot box is the plan with custom steering setup.
well the 4wd setup/conversion is well under way , parts list is below
1 x king blackfoot full gearbox and half shafts plus rear shock mount .

Ive fitted the blackfoot extreme wheels as I needed extra offset to clear the steering knuckles which increase the outer wheel width from standard 280mm to 310mm. this chassis setup mods increase the wheelbase from standard 250mm to 285mm.

ill post pictures very soon of the conversion with custom made chassis brackets and suspension bits for all of you to enjoy .

ive broken the twin detonator plastic steering knuckles on its 1st run so ive ordered some nice alloy ones from fleabay which will help with the more solid front end as ive had to set the knuckles facing forwards due to the layout of the blackfoot boxes , this should sort out this issue.
